Puerto Rico - Before the Storm

In the 1940s my Grandparents moved to the United States from Puerto Rico in pursuit of an American Dream. My mother, born in New York City, attempted to assimilate to American culture raising my brothers and I in a non Spanish speaking home. Similarly to other who come to the US from all parts of the world, many aspect of Island tradition, food, and spirituality were forgotten. Years after her passing, I was finally able to travel to Puerto Rico with my daughter and experience the energy of Puerto Rico. This is a compilation of the diversity, beauty, and life of La Isla Encantada before the storm.
